Relocation, School, & Portfolio Update

Hi friends. Well, it’s been a busy couple of weeks. I’ve finally settled after having relocated from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando two weeks ago, and while I still have a pretty long laundry list of things to get done around the house, I feel mostly at home back here in Orlando. While the job search continues, I’ve been using most of my free time to spruce up my website and portfolio (and this blog too, I guess!) I’ve added and updated a few new items to my portfolio, including a new photobook, so make sure to check that out when you get a chance.

Completing my Bachelor’s degree has been a slog, let me tell you. But as I near the last few measly credit hours of my program, I have never felt so relieved. Just a Nuke class this summer, and a couple of web design classes in the fall. And I’m all done! Bachelor’s degree before 30.

In the meantime, while I’m not, A) searching tirelessly for a job, b) driving 200 miles twice a week for school, or c) plugging away at my retail job, I will be hitting my portfolio pieces a little harder. I currently have a few things on the back burner for some freelance clients, so I hope I get to share those with you as soon as they are complete.

Here’s some photos of the day. Took these late the other night at the Post Office at Turkey Lake Road here in Orlando. The interior has a really great 1960s aesthetic. Looks like this place has never been updated, which is pretty fantastic.
